About+Me+Page.jpg

I have been fortunate to work with people from across the lifespan from diverse cultural, racial, sexual, religious, and economic backgrounds.

Hi. I’m Christine. I’m a Canadian Certified Counsellor. I’m also an educator, mother, doula and an inner and outer explorer. While my online therapy practice takes my services across Canada and beyond, I live and play on Treaty 4 lands, the traditional territories of the Cree, Saulteaux, Nakota, Lakota, Dakota peoples and homeland of the Métis Nation.

Prior to becoming a counsellor I worked in the human service sector in roles such as school teacher, community justice facilitator, sexual health educator, and crisis counsellor. I have been fortunate to work with people from across the lifespan from diverse cultural, racial, sexual, religious, and economic backgrounds. It is through this work and through self-inquiry that I have come to understand how these complex intersections of identity shape one’s experience and well-being.

I believe my lived experience, diverse interests, and community engagement enhance what I offer as a therapist. My work as a mindfulness-based psychotherapist is grounded in my own personal practice, a practitioner of Vipassana meditation for over 20 years, and my education and training as Faculty at the Centre for Mindfulness Studies. I hold a Bachelor Degree of Indigenous Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology with advanced training in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and Somatic Experiencing, a body-oriented approach to the healing of trauma and other stress disorders.
